President's Message

With Halloween now behind us but its calories still here, we have officially kicked off the festive season. It's harvest time, turkey time, and time for change. The election is now history and we have a new President. But somehow we are still the same...putting our trousers on one leg at a time and continuing to do the same thing we do day in and day out.

And speaking of Presidents, I am now a lame duck as well. I have so enjoyed being a representative of this fine association. Thank you for an unforgettable opportunity. I am indeed proud of the various speakers who have enlightened us throughout the year. Last month's meeting was no exception. Ivesco sponsored a winner on our lecture circuit in Dr. Randy Carsch. If the economy doesn't improve, it's comforting to know I can raise my average transaction by $5 simply by wearing a white coat! What a nice turnout and we were rewarded with some valuable practice management tips. Thank you to Ivesco and Dr. Carsch.

In keeping with the festive spirit, this month is certain to feature a highlight of the entire year. Dr. Fred Metzger is back in town sponsored by our friends at Idexx Laboratories. Not only are they supplying such a dynamic speaker, but they are going to feed us, too.

THIS MEETING WILL BE AT THE SHERATON HOTEL IN ARLINGTON NEXT TO THE RANGER BALLPARK. YOU MUST RESERVE AT IDEXXLEARNINGCENTER.COM OR CALL Nicole Day at 1-800-551-0998, ext. 66785. Registration is at 6:30 pm with dinner and speaker to begin at 7 pm. Thank you Idexx Laboratories for your generous support.

Lastly, I wish you each the happiest Thanksgiving ever with health and prosperity. Let's make it a point to hold this holiday spirit of goodwill throughout the year and make a memorable difference for others. Ultimately, it makes a positive impact on us. Keep those men and women of our armed forces in your prayers as they protect us and treasure family and friends. See you soon (AT THE SHERATON)
